Snow White and the Huntsman.
I’ve read a few blogs and reviews online about whether or not/how feminist “SN&tH” is. First of all, the film was incredibly, incredibly boring. Yes, Snow White has a suit of armor and a sword and fights for herself, but the movie says over and over that she is so strong and can defeat the Evil Queen because of her “innocence” and “purity.” So, her strength and bravery is derived from the fact that she was kept locked up in prison for all of her formative years, protecting her purity and innocence. Not really a feminist message, at all. Queen Elizabeth II is a far better example of a woman who is in a position of power and beloved for her own merits, world experience, and knowledge, rather than a lack of these traits.
